2024 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2024 ACC women's basketball tournament was the postseason women's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, from March 6–10, 2024. The 2024 edition marked the 24th time in 25 years that the tournament was held in Greensboro. The defending champions were the 2022–23 Virginia Tech Hokies women's basketball team, Virginia Tech Hokies. Virginia Tech entered this edition as the number one seed after winning the regular season. However, they were unable to defend their title, losing in the Semifinals to 2023–24 Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's basketball team, Notre Dame. Notre Dame would go on to win the tournament over 2023–24 NC State Wolfpack women's basketball team, NC State 55–51 in the Final. Greensboro Coliseum Complex
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, commonly referred to as Greensboro Coliseum (the first and biggest building on the site), is an entertainment and sports complex located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Opened in 1959, the complex holds eight venues that includes an amphitheater, arena, aquatic center, banquet hall, convention center, museum, theatre, and an indoor pavilion. It is the home of the UNC Greensboro Spartans men's basketball team, the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G League, the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League, as well as the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) with their Men's and Women's basketball tournaments. 2023–24 Duke Blue Devils Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Duke Blue Devils women's basketball team represented Duke University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Blue Devils were led by fourth year head coach Kara Lawson and played their home games at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Georgia Amoore
Georgia Lee Amoore (born 3 April 2001) is an Australian college basketball player for the Virginia Tech Hokies of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Early life and career A native of Ballarat, Victoria, Amoore grew up playing several sports, including Australian rules football, before focusing on basketball at age 17. She competed for her state team Victoria Country at the youth level. Amoore played for the Ballarat Rush of the NBL1 in the 2019 season and averaged 11.2 points, 3.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game. She committed to play college basketball in the United States for Virginia Tech over an offer from Portland. Sonia Citron
Sonia Citron (born October 22, 2003) is an American college basketball player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Early life and high school career Citron was born in White Plains, New York to Yolanda and William Citron. Her father played college basketball for Bradley, and her brother, Will, has played college soccer for Cornell and Virginia. She grew up playing soccer and began focusing on basketball in eighth grade, modeling her game after Sabrina Ionescu. Citron played basketball for The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, New York and the Philadelphia Belles.
