2023–24 Serie A De México Season
The 2023–24 Serie A de México season is part of the third-tier football league of Mexico. The tournament will begin on 11 August 2023 and will finish on 25 or 26 May 2024. Offseason Changes * The 2022–23 Serie A champions Tampico Madero and runners-up Tuzos UAZ were not certified for promotion to the Liga de Expansión MX, they will remain on Serie A. *On May 7, 2023 Alebrijes UABJO was promoted to Serie A. On June 15, 2023 the team was relocated to Reynosa and renamed C.F. Serie A De México
The Serie A has 33 teams (1 Liga MX Reserve Team, 3 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 29 Serie A Teams) divided into two groups. For the 2022–23 season, it will be a return of two short tournaments consisting of 10 total matches played home & away and the liguilla. The top 2 teams & two 3rd-place teams from each group at the end of each Torneo will play in the Liguilla for a spot to play for promotion to Liga de Expansión MX provided that their stadiums meet the requirements to ascend. The Serie A was created in the second half of 2008, with the participation and approval of the owners of the teams of the Second and Third Division, being next to Serie B part of the Liga Premier. Coras Fútbol Club commonly known as Coras de Tepic is a football club that plays in the Mexican football league system Mexican Liga Premier (third-tier). The club was founded in the late 1950s as Deportivo Tepic and is based in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. History The club was founded on July 19, 1959 by Francisco Mengibar Bueno and quickly joined the Segunda División de México. The club played mostly in the Mexican inferior division from 1960 to the 1980s. In 1986 the club was invited to play the Copa de Oro de Occidente with first and second division clubs based in the mid-western region of the country. Apodaca () is a city and its surrounding municipality that is part of Monterrey Metropolitan area. It lies in the northeastern part of the Monterrey Metropolitan Area. Petroleros De Salamanca
Salamanca F.C. is a Mexican football club based in Salamanca, Guanajuato, México which is playing in the Tercera División de México. History The club was founded in the 1950s and soon after, in 1958, the club joined the Segunda División de México and played under the name of Mapaches. The club played in the second division until 1961 when the club folded due to economic problems. In 1964 the club rejoined the second division; this time the club was owned by a local oil company which brought in big name players but never achieved a promotion to the first division.
