2023–24 Red Star Belgrade Season
The 2023–24 Red Star Belgrade season is the club's 18th in the Serbian SuperLiga and 78th consecutive season in the top flight of Yugoslav and Serbian football. The club is participating in the Serbian SuperLiga, Serbian Cup and UEFA Champions League. Summary Pre-season The first signings for this season were free transfers of Nigerian international winger Peter Olayinka on 9 January and New Zealand international midfielder Marko Stamenic on 6 February. Olayinka spent last five seasons with the Czech powerhouse Slavia Prague and joined the club on a three-year-long contract with an option for a fourth year. The Serbian Super League ( sr, Супер лига Србије / Super liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet Super League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Супер лига / Mozzart Bet Super liga) for sponsorship reasons, is a Serbian professional league for football clubs. At the top of the Serbian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Ferencvárosi Torna Club, known as Ferencváros (), Fradi, or simply FTC, is a professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football. Aleksandar Pešić (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Пешић; born 21 May 1992) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Red Star Belgrade. Club career Europe Pešić made his senior debut with Radnički Niš on 24 May 2008, just three days after his 16th birthday. He came on as a late second-half substitute in a goalless draw with ČSK Čelarevo at home, thus breaking the record of Dejan Petković and becoming the youngest ever player in the club's history. Veljko Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Вељко Николић; born 29 August 1999) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Aris Limassol. 2022–23 UEFA Champions League
The 2022–23 UEFA Champions League is the 68th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 31st season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League. The final will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.
