2023–24 Portland State Vikings Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Portland State Vikings women's basketball team represented Portland State University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Vikings, led by third-year head coach Chelsey Gregg, played their home games at the Viking Pavilion in Portland, Oregon as a member of the Big Sky Conference. Previous season The Vikings finished the 2022–23 season 15–16, 8–10 in Big Sky play, to finish in seventh place. As the #7 seed in the Big Sky tournament, they defeated #8 seed Idaho State in the first round, upset #2 seed Montana State in the quarterfinals, before falling to #3 seed and eventual tournament champions Sacramento State in the semifinals. Viking Pavilion
Viking Pavilion, attached to the Peter W. Stott Center, is a 3,094-seat multi-purpose arena located on the Portland State University campus in downtown Portland, Oregon. Viking Pavilion is home to the Portland State men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball teams. In addition to hosting sports events, the facility houses the Portland State Vikings Athletics Department and physical education classes. It features student locker rooms, a basketball/volleyball court, racquetball courts, an eighth-mile track, wrestling room, and a small gym. Viking Pavilion was fully renovated for 2018, but originally opened in 1966. Prior to renovations, the facility was named for alumnus and booster Peter W. Stott, whose $1 million challenge grant enabled a prior renovation of the basketball court. The newest version of the arena began renovations on April 23, 2016. West Albany High School was formerly named Albany Union High School prior to the completion of South Albany High School in 1972. Buena High School (Arizona)
Buena High School is a high school in Sierra Vista, Arizona. It is the only high school in the Sierra Vista Unified School District. The current school building was built in the early 1990s to accommodate an ever-expanding student enrollment and opened in the spring of the 1991–92 school year. The school was built to handle an enrollment of up to 2,500 students; it was over-capacity from its opening and filled to capacity through the late 2000s. It serves high school-aged dependent children living on Fort Huachuca. Theater Buena was built with a large theater for use by both the high school and the community. Punahou School (known as Oahu College until 1934) is a private, co-educational, college preparatory school in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kāneohe () is a census-designated place (CDP) included in the City and County of Honolulu and located in Hawaii state District of Koolaupoko on the island of Oahu. In the Hawaiian language, ''kāne ohe'' means "bamboo man". Juanita High School
Juanita High School is a high school in Kirkland, Washington, administered by Lake Washington School District. It was opened on September 4, 1971, as a result of a campaign driven by an education theory known as the "Juanita Concept", developed by John Strauss, who became the school's first principal. It was later discovered that this concept did not work, primarily because of the passing of the "Basic Education Law" in the mid-1970s, resulting in the school later remodeling into a traditional format. The mascot chosen was the "rebel", to represent the rebellious nature of the teaching concept. In June 2018, half the school was demolished and rebuilt to house more students. The whole school has been rebuilt and fully refurbished as of September of 2020.
