Steve Donahue
Steve Donahue (born May 21, 1962) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach of the Penn Quakers men's basketball team. He also served as head coach at Boston College and Cornell. Background Donahue is a native of Springfield Township, Pennsylvania and a former player at Ursinus College. Coaching career Early jobs Prior to becoming the head coach at Cornell University, Donahue began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Springfield High School, Monsignor Bonner High School, Philadelphia University, and The University of Pennsylvania. Cornell Donahue had been the head coach at Cornell from September 2000 until April 6, 2010. Cornell struggled early under Donahue, but he eventually turned the program around. The Michael J. Hagan Arena (previously known as the ''Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse'') of Saint Joseph's University is SJU's home court for men's and women's basketball. The new arena seats 3,800, which is 600 more than the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse seated. A renovation begun in 2023 adds a concourse, larger offices and locker rooms, a Hall of Fame room, study rooms, basketball center, and practice facilities. 700 seats were added to the student section which puts the total at 1,700 and makes this part of the arena even more intimidating for opposing teams.
