2023–24 PWHL Montreal Season
The 2023–24 PWHL Montréal season was the team's inaugural season as a member of the newly created Professional Women's Hockey League. They played their home games at Verdun Auditorium in Montreal and Place Bell in the suburb of Laval. They also played one game at the Bell Centre on April 20. Montréal finished second overall in the league standings, clinching a playoff berth on April 24, 2024, with a 5–2 victory over PWHL New York. Montréal faced PWHL Boston in the playoff semifinal. Montréal lost the series in three straight games, with all three decisions coming in overtime, including a triple-overtime loss in the second game of the series. Danièle Sauvageau
Danièle Sauvageau, (born April 22, 1962) is a Canadian ice hockey executive and former coach, and former police officer. Sauvageau was the head coach of the Canadian national women's hockey team that won the gold medal in ice hockey at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Early life Originally from Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, Sauvageau was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal for 33 years, serving 10 years in the narcotics division. As a Police Sergeant, she has also performed undercover narcotics investigations, busted a squad car full of drug dealers, and even ordered a forced entry and rescue of a double agent whose life was in jeopardy. Bell Centre (), formerly known as Molson Centre (), is a multi-purpose arena located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Ann-Sophie Bettez
Ann-Sophie Bettez (born October 14, 1987) is a Canadian ice hockey forward currently signed with the Montreal Force of the Premier Hockey Federation. Playing career CIS She was CIS rookie of the year in 2008 and voted league MVP in her second year. She won the 2009 QSSF scoring crown with 24 goals and 30 assists for 54 points in just 18 conference games. These numbers set league records in each category. She was seven points back of Alberta Pandas player Tarin Podloski (23–38–61) for the CIS national scoring title. In 2008, Bettez was one of three Martlets in three years to be named as the top rookie in Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's ice hockey championship. Ottawa are a professional ice hockey team based in Ottawa, Ontario. They are one of the six charter franchises of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
