2023–24 Omaha Mavericks Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Omaha Mavericks men's basketball team represented the University of Nebraska Omaha in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mavericks, led by second year head coach Chris Crutchfield, played their home games at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska as members of the Summit League. They finished the season 15–18, 7–9 in Summit League play to finish in sixth place. They upset North Dakota in the quarterfinals of the Summit League tournament before losing to Denver in the semifinals. Previous season The Mavericks finished the 2022–23 season 9–23, 4–14 in Summit League play to finish in 10th place. They defeated Kansas City in the first round of the Summit League tournament before losing to South Dakota State in the quarterfinals. Chris Crutchfield
Chris DeShawn Crutchfield (born December 20, 1968) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Omaha Mavericks men's basketball team. Playing career Crutchfield was a two-sport athlete at Omaha, where he was a member of the basketball and football teams. Coaching career Beginning his coaching career at his alma mater Omaha, Crutchfield would then move to UTSA before landing at Tyler Junior College where he would be an assistant, then head coach from 1999 to 2001 where he would compile a 35–29 overall record. Crutchfield would then join Lou Henson's staff at New Mexico State from 2001 to 2005 before assistant coaching stops at TCU and Oral Roberts. In 2011, Crutchfield landed on Lon Kruger's coaching staff at Oklahoma where he was a part of six NCAA Tournament appearances, including the Sooners' 2016 Final Four team. Cedar Ridge High School is a public secondary school in Round Rock, Texas, United States. The school opened for the 2010-2011 school year with grades nine and ten. Grade eleven was added in 2011-2012, and grade twelve in 2012-2013. Connors State College is a public community college in Warner and Muskogee, Oklahoma. History The college was founded as an agricultural high school in 1908 and was quickly converted to a school of agriculture. When Oklahoma became a state in 1907, the Oklahoma Constitution specified that the state should have an agricultural school in each of the State Supreme Court Judicial Districts. Madelia ( ) is a city in Watonwan County, Minnesota, United States, along the Watonwan River. The population was 2,396 at the 2020 census. History Madelia was founded in 1857, and named for the daughter of a first settler. A post office has been in operation at Madelia since 1860. Madelia was incorporated in 1872. In 1876, the remaining members of the James-Younger Gang were captured near Madelia after their failed attempt at bank robbery in Northfield, Minnesota. Madelia used to hold an event every September called Younger Brothers Day. Heritage Hall School is a coeducational, college-prep school located in north Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. An independent private school with no religious affiliation, the school is open to students of any race, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin.
