2023–24 Memphis Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Memphis Tigers men's basketball team represented the University of Memphis in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tigers were led by sixth-year head coach Penny Hardaway. The team played their home games at FedExForum as members of the American Athletic Conference. The Memphis Tigers men's basketball team drew an average home attendance of 12,276 in 15 games in 2023–24. Previous season The Tigers finished the 2022–23 season 23–8, 13–5 in AAC play, to finish in second place. They defeated UCF and Tulane to advance to the championship game of the AAC tournament. Penny Hardaway
Anfernee Deon "Penny" Hardaway (born July 18, 1971) is an American college basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Memphis Tigers men's team in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). Hardaway played college basketball at Memphis and 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he was a four-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA Team member as a member of the Orlando Magic. He also played for the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and the Miami Heat. Early life Hardaway is the son of Fae Hardaway (born 1951) and Eddie Golden. DeAndre Williams-Baldwin (born October 4, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Sabah of the Azerbaijan Basketball League. He previously played for the Memphis Tigers of the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and the Evansville Purple Aces. The Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team represents Creighton University of the NCAA Division I college basketball. It competes in the Big East Conference, which it joined following the 2010–13 Big East Conference realignment, Big East conference realignment in 2013. Kendric Davis (born May 14, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the TCU Horned Frogs, SMU Mustangs, and Memphis Tigers. High school career Davis attended Sam Houston Math, Science, and Technology Center in Houston, Texas.
