The 2023–24 Melbourne United season was the 41st season of the franchise in the National Basketball League (NBL), and their 10th under the banner of Melbourne United. On 19 April 2023, head coach Dean Vickerman signed a four-year contract extension with the club. Tanner Krebs
Tanner Robert Krebs (born 4 January 1996) is an Australian professional basketball player for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Saint Mary's Gaels. Early life Krebs was born in Naples, Florida. He moved to Australia when he was two and grew up in Hobart, Tasmania. He attended Lake Ginninderra College in Canberra and played for the Rats basketball team. College career Krebs redshirted his true freshman season. He struggled with his shooting as a redshirt freshman, but shot 4-of-4 from behind the arc against San Diego on 31 December 2016. On 9 December 2017, Krebs made five 3-pointers and finished with 23 points in a 97–73 win over Seattle. He posted 7.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Bruton parted ways as 36ers' head coach after the team started the season with a 4–9 record and was replaced by Scott Ninnis on an interim basis. The 2023–24 Illawarra Hawks season was the 46th season of the franchise in the National Basketball League (NBL). On 13 May 2023, the Hawks have picked up Jacob Jackomas’s second year team option. On 14 November 2023, Jacob Jackomas was released as Hawks' head coach after the team started the season with a 2–7 record and was replaced by Justin Tatum on an interim basis. Robert Loe (born 5 August 1991) is a New Zealand professional basketball player for the New Zealand Breakers of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for Saint Louis University and represents the New Zealand national team. He holds a British passport which allows him to play as an unrestricted player in Europe. Ariel Washington Hukporti (born 12 April 2002) is a German-Togolese professional basketball player for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). Early life and youth career Hukporti was born in Stralsund, Germany to Togolese parents and was raised by a single mother. He grew up playing football as a defender. Hukporti stood at age nine and started playing basketball when he was 11 years old, in part due to his height.
