2023–24 Holy Cross Crusaders Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Holy Cross Crusaders women's basketball team represented the College of the Holy Cross during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Crusaders, led by fourth year head coach Maureen Magarity, played their home games at the Hart Center and are members of the Patriot League. Previous season The Cruaders finished the 2022–23 season 24–8, 13–5 in Patriot League play to finish in second place. As a No. 2 seed in the Patriot women's tournament they defeated American in the quarterfinals, Lehigh in the semifinals and Boston University in the championship game. They received an automatic to the NCAA women's tournament where they defeated lost in the first round to Maryland. Maureen Magarity
Maureen Elizabeth Magarity (born March 4, 1981) is an American women's basketball coach, and current head coach of the Holy Cross Crusaders women's basketball team. From 2010 to 2020, she coached for New Hampshire. Early life and education Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania raised in Wappingers Falls, New York, Magarity graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie in 1999. At Our Lady of Lourdes, Magarity averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in her senior basketball season and was a ''USA Today'' Honorable Mention All-American. Magarity played in the 1999–2000 season at Boston College before transferring to Marist, close to her native Poughkeepsie home, and where her father Dave served as the men's basketball coach for the Red Foxes. A two-time captain, Magarity led the team in scoring with 14.3 points per game and was named Second Team All– MAAC in the 2002–03 season.
