2023–24 Greek A Division (women's Football)
The 2023–24 Greek A Division is the 35th season of the women's football top-level league in Greece. PAOK won their 10th consecutive title and their 19th overall. Format Contrary to the previous seasons, the number of teams has been reduced to 14 and the championship will be held in one group instead of two. After the end of the season, the team that takes first place will be named champion of the Greek A Division for the 2023–24 season. The 5 teams that will occupy the last places will be relegated to the Greek B Division. Greek A Division (women's Football)
The Pan-Hellenic Women's Football Championship ( el, Πανελλήνιο Πρωτάθλημα Γυναικών), also known as the Panelinio Protathlima or Women's Alpha Ethniki, is the highest professional women's football league in Greece. The Pan-Hellenic Women's Football Championship was founded in 1987. Prior to 1990, the championship was organised by the regional football associations. In 1990, the Hellenic Football Federation created a committee on women's football which organized the championship. In 1990, the first organization was made by Hellenic Football Federation ( EPO), which was named testing and the Hellenic Federation did not recognize him as a formal organization. Nea Filadelfeia ( el, Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια, meaning ''New Philadelphia'') is a suburb of Athens, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Filadelfeia-Chalkidona, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 2.850 km2. AO Rethymniaki Enosi Athliton ( el, Α.Ο. Ρεθυμνιακή Ένωση Αθλητών), or simply REA, is a Greek women's association football club that competes in the Greek A Division. It was established in 2022 when the women's team of Neos Asteras Rethymno broke away from the Crete-based club and was rebranded as REA. History Asteras Ladies was created in 2015 and represented Asteras Rethymno in the Greek C Division. They were promoted to the first division in 2020, where they competed for two seasons, finishing 8th in 2020/21 and 4th in 2021/22 in the second group.
