2023–24 Denver Pioneers Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Denver Pioneers men's basketball team represented the University of Denver in the 2023-24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pioneers, led by third-year head coach Jeff Wulbrun, played their home games at Hamilton Gymnasium in Denver, Colorado as members of the Summit League. Previous season The Pioneers finished the 2022–23 season 15–17, 6–12 in Summit League play to finish in a tie for eighth place. They were defeated by North Dakota in the first round of the Summit League tournament. Jeff Wulbrun
Jeff Wulbrun (born August 5, 1960) is an American basketball coach who was most recently the head coach of the University of Denver Pioneers men's basketball team. Coaching career Wulbrun's first coaching experience came under Lou Campanelli as an assistant coach at Cal, where he stayed on staff until Campanelli's retirement before joining Kevin Stallings as an assistant at Illinois State. In 1997, Wulbrun would leave college coaching to work in the private sector while also coaching high school basketball at Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, Illinois from 2002 to 2007. In 2011, Wulbrun would accept a spot as director of basketball operations for Seth Greenberg at Virginia Tech for a season before joining Jerod Haase as an assistant coach at UAB. The 2023–24 Cal Poly Mustangs men's basketball team represented California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by fifth-year head coach John Smith and played their games at the Mott Athletics Center as members of the Big West Conference. On March 1, the Mustangs announced they would part ways with Smith following the season, after Cal Poly was eliminated from Big West tournament contention. The 2023–24 UC San Diego Tritons men's basketball team represented the University of California, San Diego during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tritons, led by eleventh-year head coach Eric Olen, played their home games at LionTree Arena in La Jolla, California, as members of the Big West Conference.
