2023–24 Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2023–24 Big 12 men's basketball season began with the start of the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Regular season conference play was played from December 2023 and concluded in March 2023, with Houston winning their first regular season title in their first year in the Big 12. The 2024 Big 12 men's basketball tournament was held March 12–16, 2024, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, with Iowa State winning the conference tournament, their sixth overall. This was the first and only season for the Big 12 Conference with 14 teams before expanding to 16 teams in 2024. NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest division of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. D-I schools include the major collegiate athletic powers, with large budgets, more elaborate facilities and more athletic scholarships than Division II and Division III as well as many smaller schools committed to the highest level of intercollegiate competition. 2024 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. UNC Greensboro Spartans Men's Basketball
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Spartans men's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in NCAA Division I. The school's team currently competes in the Southern Conference. History The school, formerly The Women's College of The University of North Carolina, allowed male students beginning 1965-66 and started a men's basketball program the following year. The first coach was an instructor in the Physical Education program, the assistant was an administrator in the Chancellor's office, with some limited experience from the University of Kansas basketball program. Wes Miller
Warren Weston Miller (born January 28, 1983) is an American basketball coach and former player, who is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Cincinnati. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, he played at the collegiate level for James Madison University and the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill, where he graduated in 2007. Professionally, Miller played for London Capital of the British Basketball League. He was previously head coach at UNC Greensboro, and served stints as an assistant coach at Elon University and High Point University. The Utah Valley Wolverines men's basketball team is a team that represents Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, United States. The team is currently coached by Todd Phillips. Mark Pope
Mark Edward Pope (born September 11, 1972) is an American collegiate basketball coach and former player who is head men's basketball coach at the University of Kentucky, his alma matter. As a player, Pope played power forward and small forward. He was Pac-10 Freshman of the Year with the Washington Huskies and then transferred to Kentucky, where he served as a team captain of its 1996 NCAA national championship team. Valparaiso Crusaders Men's Basketball
The Valparaiso Beacons men's basketball team represents Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. The basketball team competes in the Missouri Valley Conference, having joined that league in 2017 after 10 seasons in the Horizon League. Scott Homer Drew (born October 23, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach at Baylor Bears men's basketball, Baylor University, a position he has held since 2003. Drew began his coaching career as an assistant for Valparaiso Beacons men's basketball, Valparaiso under his father Homer Drew. Following his father's retirement in 2002, Drew would serve as the head coach of Valparaiso for one season before being hired by Baylor in 2003. Josh Eilert (born December 2, 1980) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently an interim head coach at Utah. He previously served as the interim head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Big 12 Conference. Playing career Eilert started his playing career at Cloud County Community College where he earned academic All-America honors as a sophomore, where he also averaged six points and five rebounds. Robert Edward Huggins (born September 21, 1953), nicknamed "Huggy Bear", is an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach at Walsh, Akron, Cincinnati, Kansas State, and West Virginia.
