2023–24 Alabama Crimson Tide Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team represented the University of Alabama during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Crimson Tide was led by fifth-year head coach Nate Oats. They played their home games at Coleman Coliseum located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as a member of the Southeastern Conference, SEC. After a successful regular season, finishing ranked no. 19, they qualified for the March Madness tournament and advanced to the Final Four for the first time in school history, but were defeated by the eventual national champions, the 2023–24 UConn Huskies men's basketball team, UConn Huskies. Nate Oats
Nathanael Justin Oats (born October 13, 1974) is an American basketball coach, currently the head basketball coach at the University of Alabama. Prior to Alabama he was the head coach at the University at Buffalo. Education and playing career Oats grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin, where he was a three-year starter on the Maranatha Academy high school basketball team which went 24–0 in his senior year. He stayed in Watertown after high school, playing college basketball at NCCAA Division II/NCAA Division III Maranatha Baptist University. He was an all-conference player and served as a captain of the Crusaders while earning a bachelor’s degree in math education. He subsequently received a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in kinesiology and exercise science. The 2022–23 Texas A&M–Corpus Christi Islanders men's basketball team represent Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season as members of the Southland Conference. The Memphis Tigers men's basketball team represents the University of Memphis in NCAA Division I men's college basketball. The Tigers have competed in the American Athletic Conference since 2013.
