The 2023 World Baseball Classic Pool C was the third of four pools of the 2023 World Baseball Classic that took place from March 11th-15th at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The Pool C winner and runner up, Mexico and United States advanced to the Quarterfinals 2 round, as well as the Pool D winner and runner up. The Quarterfinals 2 round will be played March 17–18, 2023 in Miami. 2006 World Baseball Classic
The 2006 World Baseball Classic (WBC) was the inaugural tournament between national baseball teams that included players from Major League Baseball. It was held from March 3 to 20 in stadiums that are in and around Tokyo, Japan; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Lake Buena Vista, Florida; Phoenix, Arizona; Scottsdale, Arizona; Anaheim, California; and San Diego, California. Reynaldo Rodríguez
Reynaldo A. Rodriguez (born July 2, 1986) is a Colombian professional baseball first baseman and outfielder for the Tigres de Quintana Roo of the Mexican League. Career Rodriguez was signed as an undrafted 19-year-old free agent by the New York Yankees in 2006. He spent that season and the next season performing well in rookie ball. He was released and returned to Colombia where he played in 2008 before being signed by the Yuma Scorpions of the independent Golden Baseball League for the 2009 season. 2023 World Baseball Classic Knockout Stage
The 2023 World Baseball Classic knockout stage was a single-elimination tournament of the 2023 World Baseball Classic took place from March 15–21. The top two teams from each pool automatically qualify for the top eight knockout stage, beginning with the quarterfinals at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, and LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. 2023 World Baseball Classic Qualification
The qualifying round of the 2023 World Baseball Classic will be held in September 2022. Teams which participated at the 2017 World Baseball Classic automatically qualified for the 2023 tournament. The qualifying round is to consist of two tournaments to be participated by six teams each. The qualifiers were planned to be hosted in Tucson, Arizona in the United States but after the delay, the qualifier hosts were changed to the cities of Regensburg, Germany and Panamá City, Panama. Winners and runners-up of each of the two tournaments were to qualify for the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The first qualifying tournament was originally scheduled to be held from March 13–18, 2020 and the second from March 20–25, 2020, before the qualifiers' postponement was announced on March 12, 2020 by Major League Baseball due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
