2023 Volta A La Comunitat Valenciana
The 2023 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana ''(English: Tour of the Valencian Community)'' was a road bicycle racing, road cycling cycling stage race, stage race that took place from 1 to 5 February 2023 in the Spanish Valencian Community, autonomous community of Valencia. The race was rated as a category UCI race classifications, 2.Pro event on the 2023 UCI ProSeries calendars, and was the 73rd edition of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. Teams Ten of the 18 UCI WorldTeams and nine UCI Professional Continental, UCI ProTeams made up the 19 teams that took part in the race. All but one team entered a full squad of seven riders; only entered five riders. In total, 130 riders started the race, as Mikkel Bjerg of did not start the first stage. 2023 UCI ProSeries
The 2023 UCI ProSeries is the fourth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road bicycle racing, road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consists of 57 events, of which 33 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 24 are stage races (2.Pro). There are 49 events in Europe, six in Asia, one in the United States, and one in Argentina. Bétera () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of Camp de Túria in the Valencian Community, Spain. With 23.647 inhabitants, it is the second most populous town in the Camp de Túria shire (INE 2018), in the second zone of the Valencia metropolitan area. Biniam Girmay
Biniam Girmay Hailu (born 2 April 2000) is a professional Eritrean road cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . At the 2022 Giro d'Italia, he became the first Black African cyclist to win a Grand Tour stage after winning stage 10 in a reduced bunch sprint. Career After discovering cycling through his cousin Meron Teshome, Girmay joined the World Cycling Centre in 2018 for his second junior year. That year, he became a triple junior cycling champion of Africa, winning the road race, time trial and team time trial. He also won the first stage of Aubel–Thimister–Stavelot, beating out favorite Remco Evenepoel. In 2019, with the Eritrea national team, he won the third stage in a sprint of the La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, his first professional victory. This made Girmay the first cyclist born in the 2000s to win a professional race.
