2023 US Open – Women's Doubles
Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe defeated Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva in the final, 7–6(11–9), 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. Dabrowski became the first Canadian to win a women's doubles major title, and Routliffe became the first New Zealander to win a US Open title. Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková were the defending champions, but lost in the second round to Barbora Strýcová and Markéta Vondroušová. Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula jointly attained the WTA No. 1 doubles ranking after Hsieh Su-wei lost in the semifinals. Siniaková, Elise Mertens, Taylor Townsend, and Desirae Krawczyk were also in contention for the top ranking at the beginning of the tournament. Gabriela "Gaby" Dabrowski (; pl, Dąbrowska, ; born April 1, 1992) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She reached her best singles ranking of world No. 164 by the WTA on November 3, 2014 and her highest doubles ranking of world No. 4 on July 11, 2022. A two-time Grand Slam champion, she won the 2017 French Open mixed-doubles title with Rohan Bopanna, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a senior Grand Slam title. Taylor Townsend (born April 16, 1996) is an American professional tennis player. She reached career-high WTA rankings of world No. 61 in singles (July 2018) and No. 31 in doubles (December 2022). Wang Xinyu (, ; born 26 September 2001) is a Chinese tennis player. Coaching team Wang's current team consists of her father Wang Peng; a Serbian technical coach, Aleksandar Slović, who won the men's singles title at 2009 Summer Universiade and once trained with Novak Djokovic when young; a fitness coach from Croatia; and a Chinese physio from Nanjing.
