2023 Tour Of Oman
The 2023 Tour of Oman is a road cycling stage race that took place between 11 and 15 February 2023 in Oman. The race is rated as a category 2. Pro event on the 2023 UCI ProSeries calendar, and will be the 12th edition of the Tour of Oman. 2023 UCI ProSeries ...
The 2023 UCI ProSeries is the fourth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consists of 57 events, of which 33 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 24 are stage races (2.Pro). There are 49 events in Europe, six in Asia, one in the United States, and one in Argentina. Al Hamra, Oman
Al Hamra ( ar, ٱلْحَمْرَاء, Al-Ḥamrāʾ) is a 400-year-old town in the region Ad Dakhiliyah, in northeastern Oman. As a province (wilayat), it is home to a number of villages including the mountainside village of Misfat Al Abryeen, with the village of Ghul to the northwest of the town, and Bimah to the north-northeast. The town and province lie on the southern slopes of the Akhdar Mountains. Al Hamra is also known as Hamra Al Abryeen with reference to the Al Abri tribe who live there. Near the center of the town is a plaza and the souq. Some of the oldest preserved houses in Oman can be found in Al Hamra, a town built on a tilted rock slab. Many of the houses have two, three and even four stories, with ceilings made of palm beams and fronds topped by mud and straw. Samāʾil ( ar, سَمَائِل) is a Wilayah (province) located in Ad-Dakhiliyah Region of the Sultanate of Oman. Sama'il Valley The valley or wadi of Sama'il, also referred to as the "Sumail Gap", divides Al Hajar Mountains into the Eastern and Western subranges. A route from the coast to the country's interior traverses the valley. The gap extends about from the coast and Muscat Airport on one hand to Sama'il on the other. The route ends at Izki, and acts as the main road from Muscat to Nizwa. The highest point in the gap is more than above sea level. Jesús Herrada López (born 26 July 1990) is a Spanish professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . His brother José Herrada is also a professional cyclist, and also competes for . Qurayyat, Oman
Qurayyat is a small fishing town 83 km southeast of Muscat, Oman, adjacent to the towns of Sur, Diman Wa Tayeen and Aamerat.
