2023 Tour De Suisse
The 2023 Tour de Suisse was a road cycling stage race that took place between 11 and 18 June 2023 in Switzerland. It was the 86th edition of the Tour de Suisse and the 24th event of the 2023 UCI World Tour. On 16 June 2023, Swiss rider Gino Mäder died in hospital in Chur after a heavy crash on the descent of the Albula Pass during stage 5. Stage 6 was neutralised and a short homage to Mäder was completed instead. 2023 UCI World Tour
The 2023 UCI World Tour was a series of races that include thirty-five road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2023 in men's road cycling, 2023 cycling season. Villars-sur-Ollon, commonly referred to as Villars, is a village in Switzerland in the canton of Vaud, part of the municipality of Ollon. Description Geography and skiing network Villars overlooks the Rhône valley from an altitude of . Biniam Girmay
Biniam Girmay Hailu (born 2 April 2000) is a professional Eritrean road cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . At the 2022 Giro d'Italia, he became the first Black African cyclist to win a Grand Tour stage after winning stage 10 in a reduced bunch sprint. Career After discovering cycling through his cousin Meron Teshome, Girmay joined the World Cycling Centre in 2018 for his second junior year. That year, he became a triple junior cycling champion of Africa, winning the road race, time trial and team time trial. He also won the first stage of Aubel–Thimister–Stavelot, beating out favorite Remco Evenepoel. In 2019, with the Eritrea national team, he won the third stage in a sprint of the La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, his first professional victory.
