2023 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team
The 2023 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame as an independent during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Fighting Irish were led by Marcus Freeman in his second year as Notre Dame's head coach. They played their home games at Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Indiana. Marcus Freeman
Marcus Freeman (born January 10, 1986) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is currently the head coach at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, University of Notre Dame. He previously served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Notre Dame in 2021. Freeman has also previously served as an assistant coach at the Cincinnati Bearcats football, University of Cincinnati, Purdue Boilermakers football, Purdue University, Kent State Golden Flashes football, Kent State University, and Ohio State Buckeyes football, Ohio State University. Tommy Rees (American Football)
Thomas Kevin Rees (born May 22, 1992) is an American football coach and former player, who is the current offensive coordinator of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He played college football at Notre Dame from 2010 to 2013. Early years Rees was born to Bill and Susan (née Cantwell) Rees in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Lake Bluff, Illinois. His father played college football at Ohio Wesleyan and served as an assistant coach at Northwestern and UCLA. Tommy played football at Lake Forest High School. As a senior in 2009, he completed 215 of 308 passes for 2,572 yards and 23 touchdowns while only throwing 3 interceptions the entire season. Virginia Tech Hokies Football
The Virginia Tech Hokies football team represents Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the sport of American football. Joe Rudolph
Joe Rudolph is the offensive line coach at Virginia Tech. Rudolph also serves as the run game coordinator for the Hokies under first-year coach Brent Pry. Prior to this position he was the associate head coach, offensive coordinator, and offensive line coach at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Before his time at Wisconsin, he was the interim head coach and offensive coordinator of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers football team. Gino Guidugli
Gino Guidugli (born March 13, 1983) is a former American football quarterback and current quarterbacks coach at the University of Notre Dame. He was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at Cincinnati. He is also a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He was one of the backup quarterbacks with the Canadian Football League's BC Lions before being cut by the team following their 2008 training camp. He re-joined the Green Bay Blizzard of af2 for the end of the 2008 season, including the playoffs. He then played in the Arena Football League. Harry Hiestand
Harry Hiestand (born November 19, 1958) is a former American football coach who last was the offensive line coach at the University of Notre Dame. Hiestand earned his bachelor's degree in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg University in 1983. He and his wife, Terri, have three sons, Michael, Matthew and Mark, and one daughter, Sarah. Playing career Hiestand played college football as an offensive lineman at Springfield College and East Stroudsburg between 1978 and 1980.
