The 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships were contested March 22–25, 2023 at the 99th annual NCAA-sanctioned swim meet to determine the team and individual national champions of Division I men's collegiate swimming and diving in the United States. This year's events were hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Florida Gators Swimming And Diving
The Florida Gators swimming and diving program represents the University of Florida in the aquatics sports of swimming and diving. The program includes separate men's and women's teams, both of which compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Gators host their home meets in the O'Connell Center Natatorium on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus, and are currently led by head swimming coach Anthony Nesty and diving coach Bryan Gillooly. Since Florida's swim and dive program was established in 1930, the men's team has won forty SEC team championships and two NCAA national championships. Since the NCAA and the SEC began sanctioning women's swimming in 1981, the Lady Gators have won seventeen SEC team championships and three national championships. Denis Petrashov (born February 1, 2000) is a Kyrgyzstani competitive swimmer. He competed in thMen's 200-meter breaststrokeevent at the 2016 Summer Olympics and both the Men's 100-meter (swimming a 1:00.23, setting a Kyrgyzstani national record) and 200-meter breaststroke events at the 2021 Summer Olympics. Maxwell McHugh (born 1999) is an American competitive swimmer specializing in breaststroke events. In 2021, he won two NCAA Division I titles at the year's championships, one in the 100 yard breaststroke and one in the 200 yard breaststroke. Career Raised in Mendham Borough, New Jersey, Alexy attended Delbarton School where he won state titles at the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Meet of Champions in the 50 and 100-meter freestyle events as a freshman and again as a junior, joining two of his three siblings who also won state swimming individual titles.
