2023 Mexico City EPrix
The 2023 Mexico City ePrix known for sponsorships reasons as the 2023 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix was a Formula E electric car race held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in the centre of Mexico City on 14 January 2023. It served as the opening round of the 2022–23 Formula E season and the seventh edition of the event. Background This was the first race of the 2022–23 Formula E season and as such was also the first Formula E race run with the Gen3 cars. This race was also the first to not feature Fanboost, which previously allowed for fans to vote for drivers to get an extra power boost. As well, this was the first race in which Hankook was the tyre provider for Formula E, after Michelin previously had served as the tyre provider. Robin Frijns
Robin Frijns (born 7 August 1991) is a Dutch motor racing driver. He is the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion, and the first driver to have won the series in his debut season since Robert Kubica in 2005. Frijns is currently competing in Formula E driving for Team ABT and in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Team WRT. Frijns achieved his first Formula E podium finish in his second outing in the category, and claimed his maiden victory at the 2019 Paris E-Prix. Mitchell William Evans (born 24 June 1994) is a New Zealand professional racing driver. He currently drives for the Jaguar TCS Racing team in Formula E. In 2012, he won the GP3 Series and he raced in the GP2 Series for four years, achieving 14th place in 2013, fourth in 2014, fifth in 2015, and 12th in 2016. Stoffel Vandoorne (born 26 March 1992) is a Belgian professional racing driver who is currently racing for Dragon Racing in Formula E. René Rast (born 26 October 1986 in Minden) is a German professional racing driver and the 2017, 2019 and 2020 DTM champion.
