2023 LSU Tigers Baseball Team
The 2023 LSU Tigers baseball team represents Louisiana State University during the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Tigers played their home games at Alex Box Stadium. Previous season The Tigers finished 40–22, 17–13 in the SEC to finish in second place in the Western division . The Tigers went 1–2 in the 2022 Southeastern Conference baseball tournament. The Tigers were seeded second in the Hattiesburg Regional of the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, where they finished 2–2 before being eliminated by top regional seed, and 11th overall seed, Southern Miss. Jay Johnson (baseball Coach)
Jay Bradley Johnson (born April 20, 1977) is an American baseball coach and former second baseman, who is the current head baseball coach of the LSU Tigers baseball, LSU Tigers. He played college baseball at Shasta College, Shasta from 1997 to 1998 before transferring to Point Loma Nazarene Sea Lions, Point Loma Nazarene. He then served as the head coach of the Point Loma Nazarene Sea Lions (2005), Nevada Wolf Pack baseball, Nevada (2014–2015) and the Arizona Wildcats baseball, Arizona Wildcats (2016–2021). Education Born and raised in Oroville, California, Johnson graduated from Oroville High School in 1995 and began his college baseball career at Shasta College, a junior college in Redding, California, in 1997. Lake Forest is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 85,858 at the 2020 census. Lake Forest incorporated as a city on December 20, 1991. Prior to incorporation, the community had been known as El Toro. Following a vote in 2000, Lake Forest expanded its city limits to include the master-planned developments of Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills. This expansion brought new homes and commercial centers to the northeastern boundary of the city. Lake Forest has two lakes from which the city gets its name. The lakes are man-made, and condominiums and custom homes ranging from large to small line their shores. The Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team is an American National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) college baseball team. Prairieville is a census-designated place in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is south of Baton Rouge and north of Gonzales. Prairieville is an expanding bedroom suburb of Baton Rouge. NC State Wolfpack Baseball
The NC State Wolfpack baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of North Carolina State University, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The team has been a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference since the conference's founding in the 1954 season. The program's home venue is Doak Field, which opened in 1966. Elliott Avent has been the head coach of the team since prior to the 1997 season. As of the end of the 2015 season, the Wolfpack have appeared in three College World Series and 32 NCAA Tournaments.
