2023 Jeddah Formula 2 Round
The 2023 Jeddah FIA Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 17 and 19 March 2023 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. It was the second round of the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Notes * – Frederik Vesti received a five-place grid drop for causing a collision with Richard Verschoor in the Sakhir Feature Race. The penalty will apply to the next race that the Dane participates in. * – Clément Novalak and Roman Staněk have received five-place grid penalties for Saturday's Sprint Race after Trident mechanics were found to have failed to hand back both drivers’ set of tyres into parc fermé. Team personnel were also found to have worked on the sets of tyres before handing them in, breaching the Sporting Regulations, dropping down both drivers to P16 and P21 respectively. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit ( ar, حلبة كورنيش جدة) is a motor racing circuit built in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia. The circuit staged the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on 5 December 2021 as the penultimate race on the Formula One season calendar. Kush Maini (born 22 September 2000) is an Indian racing driver currently competing in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing. He has previously competed in Formula 4, the Formula Renault Eurocup, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, and most recently FIA Formula 3. Zane Maloney
Zane Maloney (born 2 October 2003) is a Barbadian racing driver. He was the 2019 British F4 champion and finished as runner-up in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, racing for Trident. In December 2022, it was announced he was joining the Red Bull Junior Team and will be a reserve driver for the Red Bull team in 2023. Roman Staněk Jr. (born 25 February 2004) is a Czech racing driver who is scheduled to compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Trident. He previously competed in FIA Formula 3 for three seasons, where he placed fifth in 2022, and is also the 2019 ADAC Formula 4 rookies' champion. Dennis Hauger (; born 17 March 2003) is a Norwegian racing driver set to compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with MP Motorsport.
