The 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup took place in South Africa in January 2023. Sixteen teams took part in the tournament, with their squads listed below. Players aged 18 or younger on 31 August 2022 were eligible for selection. Australia Australia women's national under-19 cricket team, Australia's squad was announced on 13 December 2022. 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup
The 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup was the first edition of the ICC Women's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, hosted by South Africa in 2023. The tournament was moved from its original slot at the end of 2021 to January 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen teams competed in the tournament, initially divided into four groups. India, England, Australia and New Zealand progressed to the semi-finals of the competition. In the semi-finals, India beat New Zealand by 8 wickets and England beat Australia by 3 runs. The final took place on 29 January 2023 at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, and saw India beat England by 7 wickets to become the inaugural champions of the ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. Ella Josephine Wilson (born 17 November 2003) is an Australian cricketer who currently plays for South Australia in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and Adelaide Strikers in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). Hannah Louise Baker (born 3 February 2004) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire, Central Sparks and Birmingham Phoenix. She plays as a right-arm leg break bowler. The England women's under-19 cricket team represents England and Wales in international under-19 women's cricket. The team is administrated by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The team played their first official matches at the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, the first ever international women's under-19 cricket competition, in which they reached the final, where they lost to India.
