Oberhof Bobsleigh, Luge, And Skeleton Track
The Oberhof bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track is a venue used for bobsled, luge and skeleton located in Oberhof, Germany. History Oberhof had been the home of sledding activities since 1905, mostly bobsleigh. In 1931, the facility hosted the first ever FIBT World Championships in the two-man bobsleigh event won by the two-man German team of Hanns Killian and Sebastian Huber. After World War II, Oberhof was partitioned into East Germany. Tucker West
Tucker West (born June 15, 1995) is an American luger who, at the age of 18, was the youngest male ever to qualify to represent the United States in the men's luge at the Olympics. West placed 22nd in the men's single competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Career West attended National Sports Academy High in Lake Placid, New York. Before going away to school he was a resident of Ridgefield, Connecticut. When West was a boy, his father designed and built a wood luge track in the backyard of their Ridgefield home. West attends Union College in Schenectady, New York. Before making the ten-member Sochi squad, West was the co-champion of the 2012 U.S luge singles title with Chris Mazdzer, a U.S junior silver medalist, and a silver medalist at the 2011 World Cup in Austria. Anton Olehovych Dukach ( uk, Антон Олегович Дукач, born 30 July 1995) is a Ukrainian luger. Career At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, Anton Dukach finished 4th in boys' singles having lost 0.022 sec to German athlete who was third. He was 7th in team relay (together with Stetskiv, Buryy, and Lehedza). He was also the flagbearer of Ukraine at the Games. Dukach's first World Cup season was the 2012-13 season.
