2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Squads
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup was an international women's association football tournament held in Australia and New Zealand from 20 July until 20 August 2023. The 32 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament. A provisional list of between 35 and 55 players per national team was submitted to FIFA, who did not publish it. From the preliminary squad, the final list of 23 players per national team needed to be submitted to FIFA by 9 July 2023. FIFA published the final lists with squad numbers on their website on 11 July. Teams were permitted to make late replacements in the event of serious injury, at any time up to 24 hours before their first match, where the replacement players did not need to be in the preliminary squad. 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is scheduled to be the ninth edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup competition, the quadrennial international women's football championship contested by the women's national association football teams organised by FIFA. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, the first time that the FIFA Women's World Cup will have two host nations and is scheduled to take place from 20 July to 20 August 2023. This will be the first senior World Cup of either gender to be held between two confederations. In addition, this tournament will be the first to feature the expanded format of 32 teams, from previous 24, replicating the same format used for the men's World Cup. HB Køge Kvindeelite, commonly known as HB Køge, (previously ''HB Køge Pigefodbold''), is a Danish women's football club based in Køge, Denmark. The club is currently playing in the Elitedivisionen and like the men's team, they play their home matches at the Capelli Sport Stadion. Elisabeth Terland (born 28 June 2001) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a striker for Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Women's Super League and the Norway national team. Club career Terland started her career in Nærbø IL before she transferred to Bryne at the age of 13. At Bryne she played mostly at the boys' team at her age, but also got a few matches for the women's team, which played in the third division (the fourth level of Norwegian football). Hege Riise
Hege Riise (born 18 July 1969) is a Norwegian football coach and former midfield player who is coaching the Norway women's national football team. One of the best footballers of her generation, she won the FIFA Women's World Cup, the Olympic Games, and the UEFA Women's Euro with the Norway women's national football team. Playing career Club Riise started playing football at age six and played in a boys' team until age 14. She won the Norwegian Cup competition with Setskog-Høland in 1992.
