2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held from 2 to 5 March 2023 at the Ataköy Athletics Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, the first time the event has taken place in this country although the venue did stage the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 2012 World Indoor Championships. The four-day competition will be held during the centenary year of the Republic of Turkey, and will feature 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events over three morning and four afternoon sessions. More than 600 athletes from the 51 European Athletics Member Federations are expected to compete in Ataköy Arena. Yasmin Giger
Yasmin Giger (born 6 November 1999) is a Swiss athlete specialising in the 400 metres hurdles. She won a gold medal at the 2017 European U20 Championships. Currently, she is the national champion in both the 400 metres and the 400 metres hurdles. Her personal best in the event is 55.25 seconds set in Tallinn in 2021, which is a national U23 record. Earlier in her career, she competed in the heptathlon.
