The 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships were the national indoor track and field competition for British athletes, held on 18 and 19 February 2023 at Arena Birmingham. The competition served as a qualification event for the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships. Jazmin Sawyers (born 21 May 1994) is a British track and field athlete who competes in the long jump, and sports presenter. She has also competed as a bobsledder and a heptathlete. Representing England, she was the silver medallist in the long jump at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She won a silver medal at the 2016 European Athletics Championships and a bronze medal in the 2022 event. The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. Eugene Amo-Dadzie (born 22 June 1992) is a British athlete who competes as a sprinter. He was a bronze medalist over 60 metres at the 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships and the 2023 British Athletics Championships. 60 Metres
60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles.
