The 2023 season was the Atlanta Falcons' 58th in the National Football League (NFL), their seventh playing their home games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, their third under general manager Terry Fontenot and third and final season under head coach Arthur Smith. NFC South
The National Football Conference – Southern Division or NFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created prior to the 2002 NFL season, when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. The NFC South currently has four member clubs: the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. DeMarcco Hellams (born June 5, 2000) is an American football safety for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama. Early years Hellams attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. He played defensive back and wide receiver in high school. As a senior, he was the ''Washington Post'' Metro Offensive Player of the Year after catching 78 passes for 1,469 yards and 21 touchdowns on offense and 12 interceptions on defense. The 2022 Utah Utes football team represents the University of Utah as a member of the Pac-12 Conference during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by 18th-year head coach Kyle Whittingham the Utes play their home games at Rice–Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. In the preseason polls released on July 28, Utah was picked to finish the season as the top team in the conference. A tiebreaker (Utah, Oregon, Washington) at the end of the season by strength of conference record gave Utah the bid to go to the Pac 12 Championship Game. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses.
