2023 America East Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2023 America East Women's Basketball Conference tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the America East Conference that began on March 1, 2023 and ended on March 10, 2023. All tournament games were played on the home arenas of the higher-seeded school. By defeating the Albany Great Danes in the championship game, the Vermont Catamounts earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Tournament Seeds Eight of the nine America East teams will contest the tournament. Vermont Catamounts Women's Basketball
The Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at Patrick Gym The Roy L. Alisa Kresge
Alisa Kresge (born April 1, 1985) is a former American women's basketball player and current coach. She is the head coach of the Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team. Playing career Kresge played at Marist where she was part of four MAAC regular season title teams, and three MAAC tournament championship teams. With the Red Foxes, Kresge made three NCAA Tournament appearances as a player, culminating in a Sweet 16 appearance in 2007. She graduated as the school's all-time leader in assists with 596, and second all-time in steals with 222. The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference has nine core members including eight public research universities, three of which, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont, are the flagship universities of their states. The two non-flagship university centers of the State University of New York are in the conference: the University at Albany and Binghamton University.
