The 2022–23 UConn Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies were led by fifth-year head coach Dan Hurley in the team's third season since their return to the Big East Conference. The Huskies played their home games at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut and the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. They finished the season 31–8, 13–7 in Big East play to finish in a tie for fourth place. As the No. 4 seed in the Big East tournament, they defeated Providence in the quarterfinals before losing to Marquette in the semifinals. Dan Hurley
Daniel S. Hurley (born January 16, 1973) is an American basketball coach who currently coaches the University of Connecticut men's basketball team. Hurley was named head coach of the Huskies on March 22, 2018, after two years at Wagner College and six years at the University of Rhode Island. Hurley turned down an aggressive long-term offer from Rhode Island in order to lead UConn. Prior to Wagner, Hurley was head coach of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School, where he is credited with building the New Jersey school into one of the top high school basketball programs in America. Hurley played five years of college basketball, including a redshirt year, at Seton Hall. During his first three seasons, his head coach was P. J. Carlesimo. The 2022–23 Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represented the University of Arkansas during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Eric Musselman, and played its home games at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas as a member of the Southeastern Conference. The Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represents Florida Atlantic University and competes in Conference USA of NCAA Division I college basketball. The 2022 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big East Conference, held March 9–12, 2022, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The winner of the tournament, the Villanova Wildcats, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
