2022–23 UC Riverside Highlanders Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 UC Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team represented the University of California, Riverside in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by third-year head coach Mike Magpayo, played their home games at SRC Arena in Riverside, California as members of the Big West Conference. Previous season The Highlanders finished the 2021–22 season 16–12, 9–6 in Big West play, to finish in sixth place. They were defeated by Hawaii in the first round of the Big West tournament. Mike Magpayo
Mike Magpayo is an American men's college basketball head coach for the UC Riverside Highlanders. In July 2020, Magpayo became the first NCAA Division I men's basketball head coach of full Asian heritage. Early life Magpayo is a native of Hacienda Heights, California. He attended UC Santa Barbara, graduating with a degree in business economics in 2001. He was a high school basketball coach from 2001 to 2010. Magpayo also served as the CEO of a multi-million dollar real estate company in Southern California. Coaching career Magpayo served as an assistant at Columbia from 2010 to 2014. He was an assistant at Campbell from 2014 to 2017. Blue Ridge School
Blue Ridge School is a private, all-male boarding school for students grades 9-12 located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Saint George, Virginia, near Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The school was originally founded in 1909 by The Rev. George P. Mayo, an Episcopalian clergyman, as the Blue Ridge Industrial School, a school for the rural mountain students living in the region. It closed in 1960. The Blue Ridge School of today opened in 1962 as an all-boys boarding college preparatory school. Eastern Florida State College
Eastern Florida State College, formerly Brevard Community College, is a public college in Brevard County, Florida. The DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. The team competes in the Big East Conference. The Blue Demons play home games at Wintrust Arena at the McCormick Place convention center on Chicago's Near South Side. Orinda is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The city's population as of the 2020 census is estimated at 19,514 residents. College Park High School is a public high school located in Pleasant Hill, California, United States, adjacent to Valley View Middle School and Diablo Valley College. It is part of the Mount Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD) and serves most of Pleasant Hill, a portion of Concord west of California State Route 242, a portion of Martinez, and all of Pacheco.
