2022–23 Taça Da Liga
The 2022–23 Taça da Liga was the sixteenth edition of the Taça da Liga (also known as Allianz Cup for sponsorship reasons), a association football, football League Cup, league cup competition organised by the Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional and contested exclusively by clubs competing in the Portuguese football league system, top two professional tiers of Football in Portugal, Portuguese football – the Primeira Liga and the Liga Portugal 2. This edition introduced a new format in which all teams entered the competition in a single group stage, with matches beginning on 17 November 2022 and played during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The eight group winners advanced to a knockout phase comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final, which was played at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria on 28 January 2023. Taça Da Liga
The Taça da Liga (), known outside Portugal as Portuguese League Cup, is an annual football club competition organised by the Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional (LPFP) for teams competing in the Primeira Liga and LigaPro, the top two tiers of Portuguese football. Unlike Portugal's other domestic cup competition, the Taça de Portugal, the winners do not qualify for European competitions. The Taça da Liga was established in the 2007–08 season, thus becoming the third official competition for professional clubs in Portugal, after a proposal by Sporting and Boavista was approved by LPFP members on 28 November 2006. For sponsorship reasons, it is currently known as Allianz Cup (with the English word ''cup''). Benfica are the most decorated team, having won a record seven trophies, four of which consecutively. Ousmane Diomande (born 4 December 2003) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Ivory Coast national team. Vizela () is a municipality in the Braga District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 23,736, in an area of 24.70 km². The present mayor is Vitor Hugo Salgado, elected as an independent.
