2022–23 South Alabama Jaguars Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 South Alabama Jaguars women's basketball team represented the University of South Alabama during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The basketball team, led by ninth-year head coach Terry Fowler, played all home games at the Mitchell Center along with the South Alabama Jaguars men's basketball team. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. On March 1, head coach Terry Fowler announced that he won't return next season and will be stepping down from his position. On March 24, South Alabama hired South Florida assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, Yolisha Jackson as their new head coach. Mitchell Center
Mitchell Center is a 10,041-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. It was completed in 1998 and is the home court for University of South Alabama Jaguars basketball teams. The Center is named for the Mitchell family, local real estate developers who have given over US$35 million to various University causes (both the Mitchell Cancer Institute and the Mitchell College of Business are named for them), including $1 million for construction of the Center. The venue can seat 3,500 for theatrical presentations, 7,354 for front-of-arena concerts, 8,777 for the circus and auto racing, and 10,800 for full-arena concerts. Blanche Ely High School is a high school located in Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida. The school is named for Blanche Ely, former principal and social activist. Pearl River Community College
Pearl River Community College is a public community college in Poplarville, Mississippi. It was founded as Pearl River County Agricultural High School in 1909 and became the first junior college in Mississippi in 1921. East Ascension High School, commonly referred to as EA, is a high school in Gonzales, Louisiana, United States. It is within the Ascension Parish School Board.
