2022–23 Ole Miss Rebels Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represented the University of Mississippi during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rebels were be led by fifth-year head coach, Kermit Davis, until his dismissal on February 24. The Rebels played their home games at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi as members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 12–21, 3–15 in SEC play to finish in 13th place. They defeated South Carolina in the first round in the SEC Tournament before losing in the second round to Tennessee. Head coach Kermit Davis was fired on February 24, 2023, with the remaining three games of the regular season and conference tournament being led by assistant coach Win Case. On March 13, the school named recently-fired Texas head coach Chris Beard the team's new head coach. Kermit Davis
John Kermit Davis Jr. (born December 14, 1959) is an American college basketball coach for the Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball, Ole Miss Rebels. Davis was previously the head coach at Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders men's basketball, Middle Tennessee. His head coaching experience also includes brief stops at Idaho Vandals men's basketball, Idaho (twice) and Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball, Texas A&M. Early life and family Davis's father, Kermit Sr., was the head coach at Mississippi State Bulldogs basketball, Mississippi State University for seven seasons, ending in 1977. Berkmar High School
Berkmar High School is a high school located in Lilburn, Georgia, United States. It has approximately 2,912 students, grades 9 through 12. Berkmar High School's principal is Durrant Williams. The school opened in 1966 to help overcrowding at nearby schools due to the growth of Gwinnett County. Akron Zips Men's Basketball
The Akron Zips men's basketball team represents the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference East division. The Zips are currently coached by John Groce. Prior to becoming members of the MAC in 1992, the Zips were members of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Mid-Continent Conference.
