The 2022–23 New Taipei CTBC DEA season was the franchise's 2nd season in the T1 League. The DEA were coached by Lee Yi-Hua in his second year as head coach, with Chang Shu-Jen as their general manager. On September 5, 2022, the T1 League named Chang Shu-Jen, the general manager of the New Taipei CTBC DEA, as their new secretary general. And the DEA named Liu Chih-Wei, the general manager of the CTBC Brothers, as their new general manager. The T1 League is a Taiwanese men's professional basketball league founded in 2021. It is the third professional basketball league in Taiwan after the Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA) and the P. League+ (PLG). The 2022–23 Taoyuan Leopards season was the franchise's 2nd season, its second season in the T1 League, its 2nd in Taoyuan City. The Leopards are coached by Liu Chia-Fa in his second year as head coach. On December 19, 2022, Su Yi-Chieh announced that he resigned from general manager. On December 21, the Leopards named Chang Chien-Wei, the chief executive officer of the Taoyuan Leopards, as their interim general manager.
