The 2022–23 National Basketball League (Bulgaria) season was the 82nd season of the Bulgarian NBL. The season was contested by eleven teams. The 2021–22 National Basketball League (Bulgaria) season is the 81st season of the Bulgarian NBL. Teams Regular season In the regular season, teams play against each other three times home-and-away in a double round-robin format.The draw for the first 18 rounds, was made on 10th of September and was show in the NBL youtube channel. The season will start on 9 of October. The eight first qualified teams advance to the playoffs. Basketball Club Levski Sofia ( bg, Баскетболен клуб Левски София), simply known as Levski ( bg, Левски), is a Bulgarian professional basketball club based in the capital Sofia. It is the basketball section of Levski Sofia sports club. History Founded in 1923, Levski has won a record 59 honours: 16 NBL titles, 14 Bulgarian Cups and 2 Bulgarian Supercups/Men/ & 8 Bulgarian championships and 13 Bulgarian Cups/Women/. Stara Zagora ( bg, Стара Загора, ) is the sixth-largest city in Bulgaria, and the administrative capital of the homonymous Stara Zagora Province. Botevgrad ( bg, Ботевград ) is a town in western Bulgaria. It is located in Sofia Province and is close to Pravets. Botevgrad lies 47 km from Sofia. History and name The village was called Samundzhievo (Самунджиево) until it was elevated to town status at the end of 1865 under the name of Orhanie (Bulgarian language: Орхание; Ottoman Turkish: اورخانيه).
