2022–23 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils basketball team represented Mississippi Valley State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Delta Devils were led by first-year head coach George Ivory. They played their home games at the Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Previous season The Delta Devils finished the 2021–22 season 2–26, 2–16 in SWAC play to finish 12th in the conference. They failed to qualify for the SWAC tournament. With three games remaining in the season, head coach Lindsey Hunter was suspended. The school named former Arkansas-Pine Bluff head coach and MVSU player George Ivory the interim coach. George Ivory (basketball)
George Ivory (born August 7, 1965) is the head men's basketball coach for Mississippi Valley State University. He was the head men's basketball coach at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff from 2008 to 2021. Previously, Ivory was an assistant at Mississippi Valley State, his alma mater, from 1998–2002, 2007–2008, and 2021–2022. Playing career Ivory grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, where he attended Murrah High School, one of the top basketball schools in the country. He played at Murrah for three years, winning numerous awards prior to graduating in 1983. After Ivory finished at Murrah High School, he went on to attend college at Mississippi Valley State University. While at MVSU Ivory was selected as Freshman of the Year, First Team All-SWAC, SWAC Tournament MVP, and Player of the Year in the conference. The 2022–23 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors men's basketball team represents the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rainbow Warriors, led by Eran Ganot in his eighth season, play their games at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center as a member of the Big West Conference. Ferrell Center
The Paul J. Meyer Arena, which is part of the Ferrell Center, is an arena in Waco, Texas. Built in 1988 and located adjacent to the Brazos River, it is home to the Baylor University Bears basketball and volleyball teams. It is named for Charles R. Ferrell, a Baylor student and legacy who died in 1967, and whose family's estate was a major benefactor of the arena. The building replaced the Heart O' Texas Coliseum as the school's primary indoor athletic facility.
