2022–23 Indiana Hoosiers Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represented Indiana University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by second-year head coach, and former Indiana standout, Mike Woodson. The team played its home games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The season officially began with the annual event, Hoosier Hysteria (this year featuring G Herbo), on Friday, October 7, 2022. The Hoosiers finished the regular season ranked No. 19 in the Associated Press poll. The team spent 16 weeks among the top-25 teams in the nation. Mike Woodson
Michael Dean Woodson (born March 24, 1958) is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team. With coach Bob Knight's Indiana Hoosiers, Woodson played collegiately from 1976–1980. As a junior team captain, his Hoosiers won the 1979 NIT Tournament and he was named to first team All-Big Ten. That summer Woodson won a gold medal as captain of the United States basketball team at the 1979 Pan American Games. His senior year, Woodson and Isiah Thomas led the 1979–80 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team, 1979–80 Hoosiers to a conference title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen. 2022 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2022 Big Ten men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big Ten Conference of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season which took place March 9–13, 2022. The tournament was held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Iowa defeated Purdue in the championship game, 75–66, to win the tournament. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA tournament. Seeds All 14 Big Ten schools participated in the tournament. Teams were seeded by conference record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. Rob Phinisee
Robert Phinisee (born October 13, 1999) is an American college basketball player for Cincinnati of the American Athletic Conference. He previously played for Indiana. He attended McCutcheon High School and was ranked as one of the highest prospects in the state of Indiana. High school career Phinisee attended McCutcheon High School. As a freshman, Phinisee averaged 6.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. Jordan Andrew Hulls (born April 16, 1990) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Indiana University, where he currently works as team and recruiting coordinator. Personal Hulls is from Bloomington, Indiana and majored in exercise science. Dane Fife (born July 26, 1979) is an American former college basketball player and assistant coach. Fife is the former head coach of the Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Mastodons men's basketball team and a was former college assistant coach at Michigan State University under Tom Izzo for ten years before leaving to become an assistant coach at his alma mater, Indiana University. The 2021–22 Saint Mary's Gaels men's basketball team represented Saint Mary's College of California during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
