2022–23 Glasgow Warriors Season
The 2022–23 season will see Glasgow Warriors compete in the competitions: the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Challenge Cup. Season overview After the disappointment of the side last season, the SRU stood down Danny Wilson as head coach of the time at the end of the 2021–22 season. It took time for a new head coach to be found, but Franco Smith, a South African previously in charge of the Italy national team, took over the reins of the club, just before Glasgow Warriors pre-season fixtures were due to be played. The new coach Franco Smith announced a new captain for Glasgow Warriors, the Scotland international Kyle Steyn. Steyn became the eleventh captain of the club. With little time to get Smith's ideas over, the Warriors struggled for the first few fixtures, particularly away from home. Glasgow Warriors
Glasgow Warriors are a professional rugby union side from Scotland. The team plays in the United Rugby Championship league and in the European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. In the 2014–15 season they won the Pro12 title and became the first Scottish team to win a major trophy in rugby union's professional era. The side is known for its fast, dynamic and attacking style of play, using offloads and quick rucks. Defensively the club prides itself on its 'Fortress Scotstoun' where the club play at home. John Manson
John Manson (born 22 June 1968) is a retired Scottish international rugby union footballer who played with the Caledonia Reds and Glasgow Warriors, two of Scotland's first professional rugby teams. Rugby Union career Amateur career Manson played for Hillfoots, Dundee HSFP, Stirling County, and West of Scotland FC at amateur level. Manson, while with the Dundee side, was one of the original Tillicoultry Trogs who brought the hard edge to Dundee HSFP's pack in the club's heyday in the early nineties. Enrique Pieretto
Enrique 'Kike' Pieretto Heiland (born 15 December 1994) is an Argentine rugby union player who plays for the national Argentina team ''The Pumas'' and Australian side New South Wales Waratahs. He previously played for Scottish Pro14 side Glasgow Warriors. Jamie Bhatti
Jamie Bhatti (born 8 September 1993) is a Scotland international rugby union player who currently plays as a loose head prop for Glasgow Warriors. Simon Berghan
Simon Berghan (born 7 December 1990) is a former Scotland international rugby union player. Angus Fraser (born 9 December 1999 in Dundee, Scotland) is a Scottish rugby union player. He plays as a Hooker for Glasgow Warriors.
