2022–23 FA Women's League Cup
The 2022–23 FA Women's League Cup was the twelfth edition of the Women's Super League and Women's Championship's league cup competition. It was sponsored by Continental AG, who have sponsored the competition since its creation in 2011, and was officially known as the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup for sponsorship reasons. All 24 teams from the WSL and Championship contested the competition. Manchester City were the defending champions. Format The competition kept the same format as the previous season, starting with a group stage split regionally. Teams competing in the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage are exempt from the League Cup group stage, earning a provisional bye to the quarter-finals. Rachel Ann Daly (born 6 December 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Aston Villa in the FA Women's Super League and the England national team. Hannah Blundell
Hannah Jayne Blundell (born 25 May 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Manchester United W.F.C., Manchester United in the Women's Super League and the England women's national football team, England national team. Club Youth career Blundell grew up in Eastbourne and began playing football for local youth team Polegate Grasshoppers, the team her two brothers already played for, at the age of seven. Vilde Bøe Risa (born 13 July 1995) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Spanish Liga F club Atlético Madrid and the Norway national team. Mayumi "Maz" Pacheco (born 25 August 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Women's Super League club Aston Villa. Career Pacheco made a failed bid to join the youth team of FA WSL 1 side Liverpool in 2013 by participating in the club's trial. She managed to secure a place in the youth team the following year. Natasha Marie Harding (born 2 March 1989) is a Welsh footballer who plays for the Welsh national women's team and Aston Villa in the FA WSL club.
