2022–23 European Rugby Champions Cup
The 2022–23 European Rugby Champions Cup is the ninth season of the European Rugby Champions Cup, the annual club rugby union competition run by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) for teams from the top five nations in European rugby and South Africa. It is the 28th season of pan-European professional club rugby competition. Dutch beer brand Heineken will continue as the title sponsor of the competition, extending their deal after their previous agreement expired at the end of the 2021–22 season. This is the first year to feature the top teams from South Africa, following the inaugural United Rugby Championship season. The tournament commenced in December 2022. Northampton Saints (officially Northampton Rugby Football Club) is a professional rugby union club from Northampton, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. They were formed in 1880 as "Northampton St. James", which gave them the nickname ''Saints'' from the 1880s. The team play their home games at Franklin's Gardens, in the west of the town, which has a capacity of 15,250 and play in black, green, and gold colours. Leinster Rugby ( ga, Rugbaà Laighean) is one of the four professional provincial rugby union teams from the island of Ireland and the most successful Irish team domestically. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. London Irish RFC is a professional rugby union club which competes in the Premiership, the top division of English rugby union. The club has also competed in the Anglo-Welsh Cup, the European Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup.
