2022–23 Clemson Tigers Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Clemson Tigers women's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2022–23 college basketball season. The Tigers were led by fifth year head coach Amanda Butler. The Tigers, members of the Atlantic Coast Conference, played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers finished the season 19–16 and 7–11 in ACC play to finish in tenth place. As the tenth seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated fifteenth seed Pittsburgh in the First Round before losing to seventh seed North Carolina in the Second Round. They received an at-large invitation to the WNIT. The Tigers defeated in the First Round and Auburn in the Second Round before losing to Florida in the Super 16 to end their season. Amanda Butler
Amanda Kay Butler (born March 6, 1972) is an American college basketball coach and former player. In 2018, Butler was hired as the head coach of the Clemson Tigers women's basketball team. Prior to that, she was the head coach for the Florida Gators women's basketball team and the Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team. Career Amanda Butler was born in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, in 1972. The 2021–22 Virginia Tech Hokies women's basketball team represented Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Hokies, were led by sixth year head coach Kenny Brooks, and played their home games at Cassell Coliseum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Hokies finished the season 23–10 overall and 13–5 in ACC play to finish in a three way tie for third place. As the fifth seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated thirteenth seed Clemson in the Second Round and fourth seed North Carolina in the Quarterfinals before losing to eventual champions and first seed NC State in the Semifinals. Upper Marlboro, officially the Town of Upper Marlboro, is the seat of Prince George's County, Maryland. Aso of the 2020 census, the population was 652. although Greater Upper Marlboro is many times larger. Etymology Upper Marlboro was established in 1706 as "Marlborough Town", after John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough. In 1744, the town was renamed to "Upper Marlborough".
