2022–23 Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2022–23 Big 12 men's basketball season began with the start of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Regular season conference play began in December 2022 and concludes in March 2023. The 2023 Big 12 men's basketball tournament was held March 8–11, 2023, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas won their sixth national championship at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season, defeating North Carolina in the National Championship. Jerome Tang
Jerome Tang (born October 7, 1966) is a Trinidadian-American college basketball coach who is the head coach for the Wildcats of Kansas State University. He had previously been an assistant coach under Scott Drew from 2003 to 2022 at Baylor, where the Bears won the 2021 NCAA Championship. Early life Tang was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. He moved with his parents to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, living there until age 10 when his family relocated to Texas. Tang first attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and then studied at home via online learning with Charter Oak State College over the Internet, and earned a bachelor's degree in 2007. Chris Beard (basketball)
Christopher Michael Beard (born February 18, 1973) is an American basketball coach who is the head men's coach at University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). He also previously served as head coach at Texas, Texas Tech, Little Rock, Angelo State, and McMurry. Beard graduated from high school from McCullough High School in The Woodlands, Texas. He was a manager at Texas under former Longhorns coach Tom Penders, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. He received a Masters of Education from Abilene Christian University where he served as a graduate assistant in 1998. Under Beard's watch, the Texas Tech Red Raiders made the deepest NCAA Tournament runs in school history. James Patrick Dixon II (born November 10, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs men's team, where he played college ball. He previously served as the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team from 2003 through 2016. Michael Boynton Jr. (born January 17, 1982) is an American basketball coach, currently an assistant coach at the Michigan Wolverines basketball, University of Michigan. Previously he was the head coach at Oklahoma State University–Stillwater, Oklahoma State University from 2017 to 2024. The Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represents Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Ramblers participate as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Porter Andrew Moser (born August 24, 1968) is a college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the University of Oklahoma men's basketball team. Moser spent 10 years (2011–2021) at Loyola University Chicago, helping lead the Ramblers to the Final Four in 2018.
