The 2022–23 Basketball Champions League is the 7th season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), the premier European professional basketball competition for clubs launched by FIBA. Team allocation A total of 52 teams from 29 countries will participate in the 2022–23 Basketball Champions League. Teams League positions after eventual playoffs of the previous season shown in parentheses. The Basketball Champions League (BCL) is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be wildcarded. 2021–22 Israeli Basketball Premier League
The 2021–22 Israeli Basketball Premier League, for sponsorship reasons Ligat Winner, will be the 68th season of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. The league will start on October 2, 2021. Format The regular season will be played in a 22-round Round-Robin format. The top 6 finishers will play the 5 rounds "upper house", with the other 6 teams playing the 5 rounds "bottom house". The 2021–22 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina was 21st season of this championship, with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. HKK Široki is the defending champion. Competition format Thirteen of fourteen teams joined the regular season, playing with as double round-robin tournament. The 2021–22 Pro A season, known as Betclic Élite due to sponsorship from online gambling company Betclic, is the ongoing 100th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). The regular season began on 1 October 2021 and is scheduled to complete on 17 May 2022.
