The 2022–23 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2022, followed by the start of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season on November 7, 2022. 2021–22 Memphis Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Memphis Tigers men's basketball team represented the University of Memphis in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Eric Konkol
Eric Konkol (born November 24, 1976) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's basketball program. Coaching career On May 18, 2015, Konkol was named by Louisiana Tech as the 18th head coach of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball, Bulldogs basketball team. He replaced former head coach Mike White (basketball), Mike White who accepted the head coaching position at the University of Florida. Through seven seasons as head coach, Konkol had six seasons of more than 20 wins which is the most in Louisiana Tech men's basketball history. Tulsa Golden Hurricane Men's Basketball
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's basketball team represents the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The team participates in the American Athletic Conference. The Golden Hurricane are led by head coach Eric Konkol, hired from Louisiana Tech on March 21, 2022 to replace Frank Haith who had resigned. The team has long been successful, especially since the hiring of Nolan Richardson in 1980. Frank James Haith Jr. (born November 3, 1965) is an American men's basketball coach, currently serving as an assistant coach for the University of Memphis. Michael Schwartz (born September 25, 1976) is an American basketball coach and head coach of the East Carolina Pirates men's basketball team. Playing career Schwartz played high school basketball at Beverly Hills High School, and his first two seasons of college basketball at Division II Sonoma State. He would then transfer to Texas to play for Rick Barnes during the 1998–99 season, appearing in one game of the Longhorns' Big 12 regular-season title winning team. Coaching career After graduation, Schwartz remained with the Longhorns as a graduate assistant, before making a one-year stop at Long Beach State as a video coach. The East Carolina Pirates men's basketball team represents East Carolina University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the American Athletic Conference. Joseph Gerard Dooley III (born January 29, 1965) is the former head men's basketball coach of the East Carolina University Pirates, having previously served as head coach from 1995 to 1999 and 2018-2022. Kendric Davis (born May 14, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the TCU Horned Frogs, SMU Mustangs, and Memphis Tigers. High school career Davis attended Sam Houston Math, Science, and Technology Center in Houston, Texas.
