2022 World Athletics U20 Championships – Women's High Jump
The women's high jump at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships was held at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero on 4 and 6 August. 20 athletes from 13 countries were entered to the competition. Since only two athletes per nation can compete in each event, the third entered athlete from Estonia, Liisa-Maria Lusti did not compete in high jump, but 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships – Women's heptathlon, heptathlon instead, reduced the number of athletes to 19. Records U20 standing records prior to the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships were as follows: Results Qualification The qualification round took place on 4 August, in two groups, both starting at 16:12. Athletes attaining a mark of at least 1.85 metres ( ) or at least the 12 best performers ( q ) qualified for the final. Final The final started at 15:35 on 6 August. Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero
The Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero is a football stadium, also used for athletics, concerts, and rugby sevens, in Santiago de Cali, Colombia which is named to honor the poet Pascual Guerrero. The stadium and the sports complex that surrounds it are one of the finest and most modern sports complexes in Latin America, and led to references of Cali as the "Sports Capital of America". The "Pascual", as Cali's inhabitants usually call the stadium, replaced the now defunct ''Estadio Galilea'' which was located in the Versailles neighbourhood, where the first national athletics competition was held in 1928. The Pascual is still an important venue for domestic and international sporting events. With renovations made for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia and additional suits and sky boxes the stadium's capacity was reduced to 35,000 people.
