2022 UT Arlington Mavericks Baseball Team
The 2022 UT Arlington Mavericks baseball team represented the University of Texas at Arlington during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Mavericks played their home games at Clay Gould Ballpark and were led by fifteenth-year head coach Darin Thomas. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. Darin Thomas
Darin R. Thomas is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher. He served as the head coach of the UT Arlington Mavericks baseball, Texas–Arlington Mavericks (2008–2022). Playing career Thomas attended Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas. Thomas then accepted a scholarship to play at Oklahoma Christian University, Oklahoma Christian College (OCC), to play college baseball for the OCC Eagles baseball team. While with the Eagles, Thomas was a 3 time First Team All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection. Coaching career Thomas immediately began his coaching career upon the completion of his college degree at Oklahoma Christian School. After two years at Oklahoma Christian School, he returned to Seward County as an assistant coach. Crowley, Texas
Crowley is a city located mainly in Tarrant County in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 18,070 at the 2020 census, up 40.8% from the 2010 census. History Around 1848, pioneers began farming the area around Deer Creek. The settlement moved a mile or so west to the site of present-day downtown Crowley when the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway built pens and laid tracks there. The first station depot was built in 1885. The community was named for S. H. Crowley, who was the master of transportation for the railroad. Prosper, Texas
Prosper is a town in Collin and Denton counties in the U.S. state of Texas. Prosper is located within the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, its population was 9,423; as of 2020, its population was 30,174. History The first settlers arrived in 1846 to farm cotton in the black fertile prairie soil. Between 1850 and 1902, two settlements existed - Rock Hill was two miles south of the present town and Richland was one mile north. Azle ( ) is a small city west of Fort Worth in Parker and Tarrant Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 10,947.
