2022 U.S. Senior Women's Open
The 2022 U.S. Senior Women's Open took place August 25–28 at NCR Country Club in Dayton, Ohio, and was the fourth U.S. Senior Women's Open. It was a professional golf tournament organized by the United States Golf Association, open to women over 50 years of age. Jill McGill won by one stoke over Leta Lindley. Venue The hosting club had previously hosted the 2005 U.S. Senior Open, the 1986 U.S. Women's Open and the 1969 PGA Championship on its South Course, where the championship took place. The club's two courses, the South Course and the North Course, located in Kettering, 7 kilometres south of the city center of Dayton, Ohio, were designed by Dick Wilson and opened in 1954. Dayton, Ohio
Dayton () is the sixth-largest city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Montgomery County. A small part of the city extends into Greene County. Kris Tschetter
Kris Tschetter (born December 30, 1964) is an American professional golfer, who played on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Tschetter was born in Detroit, Michigan. As an amateur, she won the 1983 American Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions and was a four-time winner of the South Dakota State Women's Amateur Championship (1983–86). In 1984, she qualified for the U.S. Women's Open and the following year was a quarterfinalist at the Trans-National. Tschetter attended Texas Christian University graduating in 1987 as a Radio, Television and Film Major. She was a three-time member of the All-Southwest Conference Team. Michele Redman
Michele Redman (born April 15, 1965) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour from 1992 through 2011. She is currently the women's golf coach at the University of Minnesota. Redman was born in Zanesville, Ohio. She attended Zanesville High School, where she played on the varsity boys' golf team. She attended Indiana University, where she won four events, was named All-American twice and All-Big Ten four times. She was the Big Ten Conference champion in 1987. Redman played on the Futures Tour from 1988 to 1991, winning three times in 1991. Ellen Port
Ellen Fuson Port (born September 21, 1961) is an amateur golfer and former golf coach. At amateur events, Port has won over twenty combined amateur championships held by the Missouri Golf Association and Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association from 1992 to 2021. As a United States Golf Association player, Port has won the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur four times and the United States Senior Women's Amateur Golf Championship three times. With her seven wins, Port is tied for fifth for most career wins by an USGA golfer. At team events, Port was part of the American Curtis Cup team that won in 1994, lost in 1996 and captained the winning team in 2014. Liselotte Neumann
Liselotte Maria "Lotta" Neumann (born 20 May 1966) is a Swedish professional golfer. When she recorded her first LPGA Tour win, by claiming the 1988 U.S. Women's Open title, Neumann also became the first Swedish golfer, male or female, to win a major championship. Early years Neumann was born and grew up in Finspång, Sweden. Her father Rune was a former football player and coach of a local girls football team. Michelle McGann (born December 30, 1969) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, McGann was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 13 and was a three-time Florida state junior champion. She won the 1987 U.S. Girls' Junior and was named American Junior Golf Association Rolex Junior Player of the Year. Catriona Isobel Matthew (née Lambert; born 25 August 1969) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays mainly on the US-based LPGA Tour and is also a member of the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Catriona Lambert was born in Edinburgh, and grew up in North Berwick. She learned to play golf on the Children's Course and North Berwick West Links in the town. Rosie Jones (born November 13, 1959) is an American professional golfer, with 13 LPGA Tour career victories and nearly $8.4 million in tournament earnings. Amateur career Jones was born in Santa Ana, California. In her amateur career, she was a three time New Mexico Junior Champion (1974–76) and won the New Mexico State Championship in 1979. Patricia Mary "Trish" Johnson (born 17 January 1966) is an English professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Johnson was born in Bristol. Christa Johnson (born April 25, 1958) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1980 and won nine LPGA Tour events, including one major championship, during her career. Juli Inkster (born Juli Simpson; June 24, 1960) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. With a professional career spanning 29 years to date, Inkster's 31 wins rank her second in wins among all active players on the LPGA Tour; she has over $14 million in career earnings.
